The Story of Ozarkland General Store: A Missouri Tradition Since 1959
A Roadside Legend Is Born (1959)
In 1959, the first Ozarkland General Store opened in Kingdom City, Missouri. Originally envisioned as a fun and functional roadside stop, it quickly became a beloved destination for families, tourists, and sweet-toothed travelers.
A Treat for Every Traveler
From the beginning, Ozarkland was more than just a souvenir shop. With homemade fudge, saltwater taffy, and chocolate-dipped treats, it became a candy-lovers paradise. These iconic sweets still line our counters today.
Expansion Across Missouri
Over the years, Ozarkland grew. Our four current locations are:
Kingdom City
Camdenton (Lake of the Ozarks)
Sarcoxie (Route 66)
Branson
A Family-Owned Tradition
Still family-owned and operated, Ozarkland continues to blend nostalgia with roadside charm. We offer fun gifts, lake apparel, retro toys, and our famous fudge—all in a colorful, welcoming atmosphere.
